What is Rotaract?

Rotaract clubs bring together people ages 18-30 to exchange ideas with leaders in the community, develop leadership and professional skills, and have fun through service. In communities worldwide, Rotary and Rotaract members work side by side to take action through service. From big cities to rural villages, Rotaract is changing communities like yours.

Service and Community

Our Rotaract club aims to serve the Santa Cruz community and neighboring cities as best we can. By working with local Rotary Clubs and nonprofits such as Homeless Garden Project, Unchained, and Jacob’s Heart, we provide a variety of service events for our members to give back to the community.

History and Legacy

Chartered in 2010, Rotaract Club of Santa Cruz County has steadily grown from the original membership of eight general members to 50 general members. With the generous help and support of our seven sponsoring Rotary Clubs: Capitola/Aptos, Freedom, San Lorenzo Valley, Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz Sunrise, Scotts Valley and Watsonville, Rotaract has been able to provide more for our members and reach to a more global community. Our Rotaract Club has slowly been expanding our outreach into the community as well as within our membership. With three committees that cater to different interests and aspects of our club, we hope to increase participation and showcase our unique community and opportunities.
